what is a "how-to" course?
disciplemen.com currently features several 'how-to' courses which our members may sign up to participate in. But what exactly is a 'how-to' course? A 'how-to' is a series of e-mails designed to cover a specific topic regarding men's ministry. This format allows a leader to learn the basic 'how-to's' for accomplishing specific tasks in discipling men. For example, there are currently courses available covering such diverse topics as:
- 'How To Reach Men Who Need Christ'
- 'How To Start A Small Group'
- 'How Can I Encourage More Pastoral Involvement?'
- 'How To Recruit A Leadership Team'
Each of these courses is a series of e-mails, with each e-mail covering a specific topic within the series it is a
part of. In the course, 'How To Reach Men Who Need Christ' for example, the series has been designed to help you
analyze whether your church is effectively reaching men who need Christ. The series endeavors to help you develop
a strategy to engage these men in a spiritual discovery process. Over the course of 6 e-mails, sent to you over
the course of approximately 6 weeks, the course lays out specific steps you can take to help you and your church
in the development of such a strategy.
